The members of the Swiss Cavalry Squadron 1972 (SKS 1972) have also set themselves big plans for 2024. At their general meeting, they adopted an attractive annual program for all horse enthusiasts.

On February 24th, their president Beat Huber chaired the general meeting in the Aarau barracks. The deceased honorary members Hansruedi Schneider, Lenzburg, Franz Widmer Zofingen and the former board member Christine Hug, Tscheppach were remembered. Gilles Bardet was elected as platoon leader West and Peter Werthmüller as equipment manager. Thomas Deiss, Herznach was promoted to sergeant and Stephan Künzli, Nottwil to sergeant and new members were admitted.

The Dragoons will once again be seen at public, civil and military events with their impressive uniforms and saddles including weapons. For example, on May 9th at the Ascension Ride in Beromünster, on July 13th at the Basel Tattoo, on August 18th at the 200th anniversary of the Swiss Rifle Association in Aarau and on October 6th at the horse races in Maienfeld.
