Tack room

The saddle room in the Aarau Armory is the pride of the Swiss Cavalry Squadron 1972. This is where the squadron's equipment is stored and maintained so that it is optimally available for the SKS 1972's missions.

The saddle room provides an insight into the equipment of the mounted troops of the Swiss Army during the time of the cavalry and is also visited on the museum tour.



Complete bridles and saddles for dragoons and officers as well as the corresponding replacement material are on display. Examples include a dragoon with a companion horse and an officer's riding equipment with the original black saddlecloth.
